How to edit/check the email settings on your iPhone

Email hosted with Boost Digital Group:

If you are having issues with your email on your iPhone, please check that your setting are correct as follows:

  1. Start by going into the Settings app on your home screen
  2. Then scroll down to Mail > Accounts
  3. Click onto the mail account you are having issues with and click onto the account listed under the heading IMAP.
  4. Check the following information is correct:
    • Name: your name (e.g. Joe Blogs)
    • Address: your email address (e.g. joe@yourdomainname.com so as an example for someone at Boost Digital Group it would be joe@boostdigitalgroup.co.uk)
    • Password: the password for your email account
    • Description: a short description of your email account (e.g. Joe’s Email)
  5. Next you need to check the settings for the Incoming Mail Server:
      • Host Name: mail.yourdomainname.com
      • User Name: user@yourdomainname.com (this is your email address)
      • Password: the password for your email account
  6. Next you need to check the settings for the Outgoing Mail Server settings, which is exactly the same as the Incoming mail server:
      • Host Name: mail.yourdomainname.com
      • User Name: user@yourdomainname.com (this is your email address)
      • Password: the password for your email account
  7. Now click Done/Save
  8. Now visit your Mail app to view your emails and send a test email. If the test email does not come through,  it is recommended that you delete the email account from your phone and set it up again from the beginning by following this article: How to set up your email on your iPhone.
